The Mpot crew is putting together another Summertime fun-filled festivity. This event is also part of the Festival of East Village Arts called the HOWL (www.howlfestival.com) that occurs annually in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This event is a special one since it a pre-celebration/tribute to the re-naming of East 3rd Street between Aves B&C after local Lower East Side Legend, Reverend Pedro Pietri who was one of the founders of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe as well known political/social activist. This event also recognizes Nuyorican Poets Cafe for its huge contribution to New York's cultural landscape. DJ Kervyn Mark and a very special guest will keep you moving on the dancefloor with all kinds of global dance music. You never know who you might see on the dancefloor as the buzz of this soiree' is one of "come as you are and be a part of the vibe". Dancers bring the baby powder to bless the floor and musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments to play along.
