In this opera by Mozart, Count Almaviva's servants, Figaro and Susanna, are preparing for their wedding. However, the Count is trying to woo Susanna behind his wife's back. In addition, Marcellina is trying to force Figaro to marry her because he defaulted on a debt. The Countess, Susanna, and Figaro try to trap the Count and confront his attempts at adulterous indiscretions. However, they fail. In the meantime Marcellina discovers that Figaro is her long lost son, and she gives him her blessing to marry Susanna. After the wedding Figaro, Susanna, and the Countess finally force the Count to answer for his actions.
