John Heiss and the NEC Contemporary Ensemble celebrate the 85th birthday of Gunther Schuller - conductor, composer, author and historian. Music from a half-century of Schuller's compositional output is performed by today's students, along with faculty who, like Heiss, have taught at NEC since Schuller's days as NEC president.
