'The Man in Room 306' is a fictional account of the last night in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It's an intimate, human portrait of the civil rights leader set in Memphis on April 3, 1968. The evening before his tragic assassination on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel, we find Dr. King alone inside room 306, and experience the private journey of a public man during an extraordinary time. We witness the depth and complexity of King's personal struggles with himself, his future, and the very soul of a non-violent movement shadowed by the rise of Black Power. Before this night is over, he will change ...and so will we.
