The Virginia Historical Society (VHS) is hosting the first public screening of “The Making of Lincoln.” This documentary—one of the five films that make up the 2013 Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Southern Film Festival—gives a behind-the-scenes look at Lincoln, the award-winning feature film by Steven Spielberg that focuses on President Abraham Lincoln’s role in the abolition of slavery. After the screening, members of the production team will participate in a panel discussion about the feature.
