The Magic of Herbs Workshop with Gypsy Nilsen October 2, 2011

This class is for those interested in learning how to use herbs for magick in their daily lives or just curious about the uses of herbs. We will explore lore and myths, as well as learn the folk names and botanical names of commonly used herbs. What really is Eye of Newt? What is the best herb for luck? Gambling? Romance? Legal matters? We will talk about the practical and magical uses of herbs, everything from a simple incense to calm your home to brewing a tea to add to your floor wash. You will get a chance to make a Mojo Bag filled with herbs and make a tea mixture. This is a hands on class, so we will touch, smell and taste some herbs. The cost of the workshop includes all the herbs and supplies for your mojo bag and tea.

You will be lead on this journey of discovery by Gypsy Nilsen, a Wise Woman Herbalist and Shamanic Healer with over 15 years experience. She has been a certified Reiki Master since 2004 and is an ordained Shamanic Minister. As a practicing pagan for over 20 years, she has always had a keen interest in the magickal uses of herbs. She has taught many classes and offered workshops on a variety of subjects, most focused on healing of Mind, Body and Soul. Currently, she has a healing practice in St. Paul, Minnesota located within Keys of Paradise.
