Transformed by candlelight all sense of present day evaporates as the Sutter's Fort State Historic Park Living History volunteers portray people of Sutter's Fort going about their evening tasks as if it were November 1846. California State Parks, with support from the Sacramento Historic Sites Association, presents the Sutter's Fort Living History Program. Evening tours begin every 10 minutes from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. rain or shine. Tickets are $15 per person, and non-refundable. Call (916) 375-5966 for reservations beginning mid October. Space is limited. The park web page is: http://www.parks.ca.gov/suttersfort
