The Mike Officer Band (The M.O.B.): Performing an eclectic mixure of Alternative Rock with Soul influenced groove sentiments, the sound is an eclectic blend, like a mixture of Jeff Buckley, Radiohead (but less abstract) and Coldplay with more edge. In January of '08 the band toured the American South and Midwest, opening for the legendary B.B. King.

Mike Officer sings the kind of heartfelt songs to which you completely relate as the coastline rolls by on a dreamy road-trip. Delivered with a strong and soulful voice, the melodies are soothing and the evocative words run deep, dancing together into sweet, melancholy wholesomeness.

The mid-west born singer/songwriter ended an attempt at formal education in a hazy dorm room at the University of Iowa, after being changed forever by the music of artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Jeff Buckley. From there, Mike picked up the guitar and headed to California, releasing his self-titled debut album in 2006.

Now living in Los Angeles, Mike has found an ensemble of troubadours, all fellow students at the Musicians Institute, taking his work to a new level of live energy. The Mike Officer Band, better known as The M.O.B., is currently playing shows around Southern California and preparing to enter the studio to begin recording Mike’s second album.
