Come and indulge your imagination at The Lost World of Puppet Artifacts, an art gallery show that will take place at Future Studio in Highland Park on Saturday, March 9, from 7–10 pm.

The art of puppetry requires that the puppeteer create not just the puppet characters, but all the objects, clothes, and furniture that fill the puppet’s world. The Arroyo Arts Collective wondered what crafted treasures might lurk in the attics and storage units of puppeteers. The Lost World show will feature unique set pieces, costumes, and other memorabilia from puppetry in Los Angeles.

While you're at the show, take advantage of the Northeast LA (NELA) second Saturday art walk on the same night. The show will remain up through April 12. This exhibition is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs.

The show may also get your appetite going for another puppet event in May, when the Arroyo Arts Collective will host Puppets Retake Northeast Los Angeles. The festival will include a gallery show, community workshops, and a weekend of performances from May 23–25.
