This San Diego-based band has long been at the center of controversy. The Locust was formed in 1995 from the shards of San Diego hardcore stalwarts, Swing Kids and Struggle. Since then, it has hosted a veritable Who's Who of punk rock royalty. Cattle Decapitation is a full-fledged death metal band from San Diego that has a pro-vegetarian lyrical stance.
