The Legend of Shiva and Parvati (Die Legende von Shiva und Parvati / 2008) - Film. Tracing back the ancient Indian legend of Shiva and Parvati this movie recounts a powerful love story, where a young German woman meets an Indian yogi. The disciples, who revere him as Shiva, are deeply concerned when they come to know about the burning love between their master and the young woman - but after some time they realize that Shiva did find his Parvati. Many years later, Krishna, the son of this extraordinary couple, describes how his parents tried to find their own and truthful way between Germany and India, between legend and reality. Krishna Saraswati, born in 1980 in the Indian Himalayas, moved to Germany and after initial hiccups found himself to be a part of that astonishing world. Krishna did various internships in the field of Film and Television. Since 2003 he is a student at the Film Academy Baden-Wrttemberg, Germany. He is currently working on his Filmdiplom as director.
