First published 400 years ago, the King James Bible is a landmark both of biblical translation and the English language. British author Adam Nicolson, for an article in the December 2011 National Geographic, traveled from this Bible’s homeland in England to the far reaches of the English-speaking world, where people of many backgrounds continue to find beauty and faith in its words.
