The internationally renowned Juilliard String Quartet performs the first of two free concerts on Juilliard’s Daniel Saidenberg Faculty Recital Series on Thursday, December 2 at 8 PM in
Alice Tully Hall. The program features Haydn’s Quartet in A Major, Op. 20, No. 6; Bartók’s
Quartet No. 5; and Brahms’ Quartet in A Minor, Op. 51, No. 2.
Members of the Juilliard String Quartet are Nick Eanet and Ronald Copes, violins,
Samuel Rhodes, viola, and Joel Krosnick, cello. Juilliard recently announced the appointment of violinist
Joseph Lin, a graduate of Harvard University and Juilliard’s Pre-College Division, as the new first violinist of the Quartet, beginning in 2011. Mr. Lin also joins the violin faculty at Juilliard beginning with the fall 2011 semester. He replaces Mr. Eanet who has had to resign from the Quartet due to health issues.
