The Jiggles and Giggles Comedy Fest April 23, 2011

(Lake Park, FL) -The Jiggles and Giggles Comedy Fest is a brand new, uniquely hilarious fund raising event with an all woman cast. Improvisation, sketch, musical and stand-up comedy combine to make an evening of entertainment unlike any other, with all proceeds going to Gilda’s Club, (http://www.gildasclubsouthflorida.org/) an organization that supports cancer patients during their time of greatest need. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 from 7-9pm.

This ain’t your normal fundraiser. Set at the funky 150 seat Mos’Art Theater in Lake Park, FL, Jiggles and Giggles is about empowerment. Join the girls as they take on current events, love, and all things female in this show where Sex and the City meets Whose Line is it Anyway? and Saturday Night Live. A raffle and live auction will be held in the front lobby before the show and during intermission, featuring items from some of the most wonderful (and generous) businesses in the area.

Featuring fabulous female talent from Miami and Palm Beach, this 2 hour show will help save the ta-ta's...with some ha-ha's. Improvisers Alex Suarez-Mondshein, Katrina Morris, Maria Tomaino, and Cindy Caldwell from Just the Funny will be making the trek north from Miami. Local ladies Lauren Pottinger, formerly of The Jove Comedy Experience in Jupiter, Danielle Bouloy, and Lori Posdale will all be working together to create sketch, improvisational and musical comedy genius for this two hour laugh riot.

Closing out the first act is our first comedian, Elizabeth “Eli” Rodriguez, who has been making audiences laugh since 2007. Her on-stage spontaneity and ability to be relate-able make her humor a hit with crowds all over Florida. She was most recently a finalist for the 2010 South Beach Comedy festival, NBC’s Stand Up For Diversity, and winner of the 2008 New Faces of Comedy at the Miami Improv, to name a few.

Rounding out the evening is Wendi Starling, stand up comedienne extraordinaire, who will be performing a hilarious routine that has left audiences from Miami to North Palm Beach rolling in the aisles. This brazen, in-your-face chick is making a name for herself in the local scene, performing at all the South Florida Improvs, appearing as a featured act and emcee at festivals across South Florida, and recently opened for Aries Spears at the Miami Improv. She just wrapped her second year performing at the South Beach Comedy Festival.
