The Japanese Suite in Jazz May 23, 2008

In recognition of the 80th anniversary of Canada-Japan relations, a very special concert will be held at the JCCC. The performance by three icons of Canadian jazz (James Campbell, Gene DiNovi, Dave Young, is of Gene DiNovi’s Japanese Suite, a collection of original impressions of Japan and jazz interpretations of traditional Japanese melodies. The trio will also perform classic jazz standards from Gene DiNovi’s 26th solo CD, “Brand New Morning” which will have its launch at the event.
