The Invisible River June 24, 2008

The play by Gautam Raja straddles the frontier between science and faith and is based on research by Dr Mukund Thattai. It has shown that there is substance to the belief of millions of Hindus in the healing power of the waters of the Ganges. But the discovery that bateriophages – viruses which eat bacteria – purify the water through their unseen action could have a dramatic impact on those whose lives are based on a different kind of reality.
