"The Hungry Ear," the library program celebrating the art of the short story, presents two iconic American writers in a "Battle of Style"! Competing will be
the great 19th century Nathaniel Hawthorne versus the 20th century teller of tales, Raymond Chandler. Hawthorne leads with "Dr. Heidegger's Experiment,"closing in is Chandler with "I'll Be Waiting." These stories will be read in fine dramatic fashion by the Hungry Ear Readers. Come and be transported! We call it "a cocktail hour for the mind." This is a free event and open to the public.
