“The Hungry Ear,” the library program celebrating the art of the short story, celebrates its fifth season in an extended program. It will feature three favorite stories from the past readings: “The Reverent Wooing of Archibald” by S.J. Perlman, “Song of Silence” by Frank O'Connor, and “Punctuation” by Anton Chekhov. These are three delightful tales by three of the greatest writers of the genre, and they will be read by Mark Bader, Mickey Ray, and Carolyn Christy-Boyden. We call it “a cocktail hour for the mind”—come and be transported! This program is free and open to the public. For further information, please call the Library's Information Services Department at 607-778-6451.
