The Human Race, Dayton's own professional theatre company, presents RED, the 2010 Tony winner for Best Play. Modern artist Mark Rothko's paintings were bigger and bolder than life, and so was his ego. RED explores both as it delves into what art is, what artists see, and the conflicts between creation and commercialism, complete with preparation of a canvas of bursting color. "What do you see?" asks Rothko of his art – what you see in RED will amaze you.
Big Final Week - last chances to see this fantastic show!

I love attending events at the Loft Theater. The Victoria is also very good. Dayton has a great arts community.
I have yet to find a better Art Institute in any comparable sized city.
