Formed in the fall of 2005, The Hsu-nami is an Asian rock fusion instrumental group. Each member has a different background in music with influences ranging from rock, metal, funk, jazz, blues, classical to of course traditional Asian music. The band's music is considered a backlash to the traditional Asian folk musicians in China. It is characterized as new-age fusion, the osmosis of oriental pastime plus the tenacity of modern rock.
