Each year for the past 40 years, Earth Day has been celebrated on April 22. Meteorologists at the nation’s first Weather Museum feel this grass roots effort should be expanded to include the entire month of April, thereby declaring it Earth Month. Each human on the Earth should use the month of April to renew his or her commitment to improve the environment of our planet, our only home.
Please visit www.earthmonth.net for Earth Month events and activities, Houston recycling locations and more on efforts to make Houston green, tips on water conservation, and more on Earth Day and the EPA. The Weather Museum is also hosting a photo contest this month to remind everyone of what we are protecting – visit the site for submission information.
