The History Collection contains objects that document the influence of African Americans throughout the various periods of American history. The strength of the collection is items that illustrate the Jim Crow era in the South, which include a large number of Black Memorabilia items as well as objects that reveal the nature of segregation. The museum seeks more objects that tell stories about the history of African Americans in Macon and Middle Georgia.
