The Hipwaders perform 'Hip Music for Kids' June 17, 2008

Firends of the Mary L. Stephens Branch Library will be presenting award-winning band, The Hipwaders. 2007 Lollapalooza performers, The Hipwaders, recently traveled to Washington DC where they performed on XM Satellite Radio. The title track from the band's latest album, "Educated Kid", recently reached #1 on the XM Satellite Radio Kids Channel.

The Hipwaders have previously won 2 Parent's Choice Awards and their latest album was ranked in the Top 5 album releases of the year for kids and families by the "Fids & Kamily" group of writers, programmers and others involved in the music industry.

The Hipwaders perform throughout the Bay Area and their music has been heard on PBS, Discovery Health, MTV, Bravo, Superstation, TLC and The Travel Channel.
