A fitting finale to a momentous yet surprising two years in which the monster beats orchestra progressed from their birthplace in London's Cargo, through Maida Vale for a BBC Radio One Session, on to headline gigs at Montreux, Barbican, and the Sage; all the while collaborating with artists such as Airto Moreira, Chris Bowden, or Dwight Trible. This debut release is the next step in cementing their reputation as an orchestra that relies not on past repertoire, but that actively composes new orchestral work drawn from the methods of jazz, classical and the club; to be released on Gilles Peterson's new label, Brownswood Recordings.
