The Harlem Quartet April 24, 2009

This exciting African American and Latin American string quartet is equally at home playing works from the European canon and compositions by such acclaimed contemporary composers as Wynton Marsalis. The members were First Place Laureate of the Sphinx Competition, the annual prestigious competition for young Black and Latino string players. The program featuresworks from Haydn, Ravel, Turina, Wynton Marsalis and Duke Ellington.
