Multi-media event presented by Northwest Historical Perspectives on the significance of the month of April during the four years of the American Civil War. With videos, civil war-era music, readings from actual military correspondence prior to the bombardment of Fort Sumter, and from diaries of residents of Charleston. The program will cover the events leading up to R.E. Lee's surrender at Appomattox Court House and help prepare Oregonians for the Civil War Sequicentennial observances.
