The Groves in Lincoln, a Masonic Health System senior Independent Living community in Lincoln, launches it Summer Concert Series commemorating various genres of American Music on Friday, July 13, 2012. To kick-off the series, the Winiker Eight Piece Band will take attendees on a journey through the beginnings of American Pop Music with songs from Victor Herbert, Irving Berlin, Little Richard, Pat Boon and Burt Bacharach.
On Friday, July 20, 2012, Pianist Moshe Feldman explores Classical Jazz beginning with artist from the "Roaring Twenties" to the 1970's featuring songs from James Johnson, Scott Joplin, Duke Ellington and Dave McKenna. To conclude the series, Cliff Tetle and David Sparr bring a little Cajun flavor to the senior living community by performing Mardi Gras Street Parade Music and Dixieland classics on Friday, August 10, 2012.
