Green Sangha presents Joanna Macy and Randy Hayes in dialogue on "The Great Turning: Exploring the changes that will save life on earth."
We all know that the climate has been upset by greenhouse gas emissions, topsoil has been depleted through factory farming, forests have been lost to make way for genetically engineered mono-crops, and the proliferation of plastic threatens the integrity of life on earth. Did you know that people are hard at work with creative, sustainable, and often simple solutions to all of these problems? Many of them are right here in the Bay Area. You are invited to join some of these visionaries and bring these solutions to life.
Joanna Macy, renowned Buddhist author/activist, and Randy Hayes, founder of Rainforest Action Network and director of the International Forum on Globalization, will describe their visions of the world today and what we can do to support the Great Turning—reversing the trends of environmental degradation and loss of life—healing the planet as we heal ourselves.
Admission is by donation to Green Sangha, an affiliate of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship.
