Get your Glee on! The Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts at the Osher Marin JCC presents The Great Broadway Sing-Along: From Broadway to Hollywood and Back. This very San Francisco-esque experience, with Ellie Mednick and her professional cast of vocalists and musicians including Karen Thomson Hall, Barry Koron, Noel Anthony Escobar and John Patrick Moore, head to Marin to enliven the audience with live performances and sing-along participation. Lyrics provided. The song list covers over 40 songs from The Early Years: 1920's and 30's with songs such as Mack the Knife (The Three Penny Opera) and Can't Help Lovin' That Man (Show Boat), The Golden Age of Broadway on the Big Screen 1940's & 50s with Some Enchanted Evening (South Pacific) and Fugue for Tinhorns (Guys and Dolls), The 1960's and 70's with To Life (Fiddler on the Roof) and Summer Nights (Grease), The Disney Invasion: From the Screen to the Stage with Can You Feel the Love Tonight (The Lion King) and Spoonful of Sugar (Mary Poppins), The 1980's and 90's with Suddenly Seymour (Little Shop of Horrors) and Don't Cry For Me Argentina (Evita), and Nowadays: 2000 & Beyond with Good Morning, Baltimore (Hairspray) and Dancing Queen (Mama Mia). Guests from all backgrounds, of all ages, and all voice types are invited to attend.
