The Great Beattie Murder Case May 24, 2010

It's about sex, deceit and arrogance, and a deadly night-time drive on the Midlothian Turnpike. Henry Clay Beattie, scion of a prosperous Manchester merchant, wants his Louise and Beulah, too; Louise Owen, his wife, and Beulah Binford, the "woman of the town" of whom he can't get enough.

I'll be detailing the dalliances of Henry and Beulah and the tragedies that resulted. Beattie's dramatic 1911 murder trial received international attention.
