This CD represents a culmination of Lee’s artistic endeavors. It is a new direction for his own path in jazz. The music features Cuban, Brazilian, Native American and other world musics from those Lee has worked with and been influenced by. "This Path" is a musical story reflecting the different aspects of Gordon's personality and musical history. Blending world influences with jazz harmony; these songs vary from the dramatic and mesmerizing to down-home-grooves to hauntingly provocative melodies. Lee talents are considerable and many; his own distinct voice is clearly on his own path. And "This Path" is a celebration of that voice in life, in music and in artistry.
Please join Gordon Lee at Jimmy Maks on Nov 26th for an exciting and moving evening of music from one of Portland’s very best showcasing his own music. The Ben Darwish Trio joins the concert at 11pm.
