Whether you grew up with Mickey Mouse or Buzz Lightyear, the Frazier International History Museum’s new original exhibit, “The Good. The Bad. The Cuddly.” will appeal to the child in all of us! The exhibit features toys and art from the popular Toy Story movie trilogy, along with other movie and TV inspired toys.
In this playful, hands-on exhibit, the widely-recognized Toy Story characters help tell the story of some of America’s most beloved toys, beginning with the early 20th century through present day. Woody and his Roundup Gang corral some fun facts about Western toys and those inspired by 1950s TV shows, such as Howdy Doody. Buzz Lightyear blasts off to explore popular space toys, including Star Wars, He-Man/Masters of the Universe, Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. Rex helps you get to know some of his dinosaur toy friends, while Sarge introduces you to G.I. Joes and toy soldiers.
The 3,800 square foot “The Good. The Bad. The Cuddly.," which features over 500 toys from the last 75 years, runs through March 27, 2011 and is included with the cost of museum admission.
