When the days get shorter, the thermometer drops, the Xmas sweaters are taken out of mothballs,
it can only mean one thing. Its time for the annual appearance of The Golden Girls: The Christmas Episodes 2012, starring San Francisco’s four top drag luminaries, as we ring in the Holiday with, hilarity and heart. The formula is reasonably straightforward. Take 4 talented drag performers, cast them in two classic Xmas episodes of the ground-breaking and uproarious TV show: THE GOLDEN GIRLS, and joviality will ensue. The four drag stars are playing the characters the entire world has come to know and love are Heklina (Dorothy), Cookie Dough (Sophia), Matthew Martin (Blanche) and Pollo Del Mar (Rose). Manuel Caneri and Laurie Bushman also are featured in the cast.

This year we will have a different celebrity guest each night for the first week only.

Blanche’s brother, Clayton, comes to visit for the holidays and has a surprise for her; meanwhile, Sophia believes her late husband Sal visits her in a dream.

Twas The Nightmare Before Christmas
As The Girls prepare to spend Christmas with their families, they discover through a night of missteps on Christmas Eve, that they are spending Christmas with their families, each other.

On Opening night of The Golden Girls: The Christmas Episodes 2012 - Thurs. December 6, 2012 8:00 pm we are making it a benefit for Camp Sunburst, the nations first therapeutically designed summer camp for children and families living with HIV/AIDS. Camp Sunburst provides coping skills and support for youth as they face the challenges of growing up with HIV/AIDS. Sunburst Projects provides support services to families affected by HIV/AIDS. The mission of Sunburst Projects is to keep families together by creating safe and supportive communities for children, youth, and families living with HIV/AIDS. http://www.sunburstprojects.org/
