Influenced by hard-edged troubadours like Joe Ely and Dave Alvin, and Texas songwriters from Buddy Holly to Rodney Crowell’s latest record, and with a sound fused by the rock and roll energy of the Rolling Stones, The GoldDiggers straddle the intersection of rock, country and rockabilly, playing original songs by the band and a few lesser-known favorites.
The band is comprised of well-known Bay Area sidemen and features
honky-tonk piano, twangin' guitars, lap steel, and a tight rhythm section.
In the words of Bay Area twang authority HicksWithSticks.com:
"This all-Americana band does not fit into any particular style.
Their tracks include rockabilly...California twang-rock...and the folksy..."
