THE GLITTERATI
http://www.myspace.com/theglitterati
The Glitterati formed less than three years ago. Paul, Jon, Nic and Billy were in different bands in their hometown of Leeds before moving to London. They'd grown frustrated by the limited vision of their peers but when they united as a new band, everything clicked. They shared a love of classic rock?n?roll like The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Guns N? Roses and a hunger to succeed. Talk about highly rated... In a short time, they've already come a long way. And not just down the M1!
The Glitterati are "a stadium rock band done garage style." according to Kerrang, while NME proclaims them "brash and brilliant." It's the fans that have the last word though, the live shows have built them a devoted following. With The Sunday Times crediting them with"the swagger of Thin Lizzy and the glamour of Ziggy-era Bowie" and The Guardian rating their songs as "strong enough to propel them into the big league."
It's worth keeping an eye and ear out for the debut album they have up their collective, leather clad, sleeves. Get up close and personal, the Glitterati are live and arse kicking, on stage at London Dirty South - Friday night out ROCKS.
THE GLITTERATI are so hot that Mike Clink (producer of Guns N? Roses? world-beating ?Appetite For Destruction? album) chose to work with them. And Slash is a fan. With self-belief bordering on outright cockiness, and who, to quote Kerrang again, "look like God's gift to the stage and sound utterly honed for success." they are in short a home grown ROCK BAND THAT MATTER.
THE BRIGHT SPACE
http://www.myspace.com/thebrightspace
Alternative Rock Pop, The Bright Space, have a new single and a surge of interest in their Cure and Bunnymen wrapped in new century pop rock. Their home is a studio in The Engine House on Greenwich High Road next to Deptford Creek. They leave it to travel in transit vans for their love of playing live. Release first single She Goes / Suffocated by Sound. A Rough Trade release of The Week which earns radio play. Went out on the road with OK Go (ending with a sold out Scala show) and more. New single "She Goes" is out now on limited 7" and from http://www.karmadownload.com/artist/?31183 - The Bright Space went back on the road throughout this month then it's a night out on home turf, and you're all invited! All this collides in the dusty halls of the surgery & where it meets is the bright space...
