About Sheng Zhongguo
Chineseviolinist, Sheng Zhongguo has the respect of the leaders in the musicfield. They praise him as an outstanding musician and the most charmingviolinist in China.
Asthe national level soloist of China National Symphony Orchestra, ShengZhongguo is one of the earliest soloists to earn great honor for China in the international arena.
ShengZhongguo was born into a musical family. His father, Sheng Xue, was aviolin professor, and his mother, Zhu Bing was a singer. They raised 11children, among whom 10 majored in music, nine played violin. In 1941,Sheng Zhongguo came into the world and he was the first child of thisfamily. During that period, like every Chinese, what Sheng's fatherhoped most was China could be strong, prosperous and not be bullied byothers. Consequently, he named his son Sheng Zhongguo, which could beliterally translated as the prosperous China.
ShengZhongguo studied violin with his father starting at age 5, and then 2years later, he performed on stage for the first time. On his 9thbirthday, Wu Han Radio broadcast the program Sheng Zhongguo recorded,which fascinated listeners causing them to call him "the talentedviolin boy". At the concert celebrating the 200th birthday of Mozart in1956 Sheng Zhongguo succeeded in playing Mozart's work: Concerto in Amajor with the Central Symphony Orchestra. In the same year, heparticipated in the National Music Week. In the show, he played withthe Central Conservatory of Music and played Ma Sicong's work: Violinconcerto, F Major.
He soon gained the recognition of many in the music field.
