The G2 Gallery Lecture Series Presents: Junk Ride 7:00pm September 10, 2009

Junk Ride 2009 took off in April on a 2,000 mile cycling tour from Vancouver to Tijuana to discuss plastic marine debris, and larger issues of sustainability. Plastic Soup or Garbage Patch? Whatever you call it, the obscene amount of plastic swirling around in our oceans is killing marine life and threatening our health. Dr. Marcus Eriksen and Anna Cummins from the Algalita Marine Research Foundation, participants in this ride, will be discussing their trip and the larger issue of plastics and their impact on our oceans.
