The Fundamentals of Edge Blending February 13, 2012

Edge blending is truly a technique that is part art and part science. In this seminar we will explore what edge blending is and take a closer look at the elements that affect what we ultimately see on screen. Of utmost importance are the screen technologies that work and do not work for edge blending. We will look at how edge blending actually works and examine the projector layout, installation and pixel overlap. We will then explore edge blending processing and see how it all comes together. Finally we will look at brightness matching as well as color matching to see how we can make this all look like a contiguous image from a single projector.Some of the Panasonic Projectors that are most relevelant to this topic will be reviewed.
