Emerging from Chicago back in 1992, The Freddy Jones Band were roots-rock specialists in the tradition of groups like Little Feat, the Dave Matthews Band and the Allman Brothers Band. Their early history includes a slot on the H.O.R.D.E. tour and their Capricorn Records debut 'Waiting for the Night' sailing the midwest charts. Their 68-minute less-radio-savvy 'North Avenue Wake Up Call,' sold less than the debut, but they kept touring until disolving in 1999. Core members Marty Lloyd and Wayne Healy, sat quietly until a August 2005 benefit concert brought the band back together. After the reunion, the band has set sail for a few dates to give back to fans who never wavered.
