Join The Four Freshmen for an early evening gala New Year's Eve Party complete with Wente Vineyards sparkling wine and dessert following the performance at the Bankhead Theater. Famous for pioneering a new style of close-harmony vocals built on the barbershop tradition, and often accompanying themselves on guitar, trumpet, trombone, bass, and drums. The quartet features new arrangements of jazz standards and familiar classics "It's a Blue World," "Route 66," and "It's All Right with Me," showcasing the signature sound of a new generation of members. One of the top vocal groups of the 1950s, the ensemble's popularity continues into the 21st century.
The Four Freshmen perform with that same unmistakable sound of the original group - a vocal harmony like no other. They have strongly influenced many groups over the years including, Take Six, Manhattan Transfer and the Beach Boys. As the 22nd incarnation of the one and only Four Freshmen, celebrating their 60th Anniversary, longevity proves they are doing it right!
