Drowning in approval from all the hipster outlets, including Pitchfork, Spin and Stereogum, The Forms hit the Lager House on a Thursday. Layers of melody with a touch of psychedelia make the group one of the best new acts in indie rock right now. Detroit’s The Javelins includes two members of Thunderbirds Are Now! and will crazy pop rock your mind. Deastro represents the culminated efforts of Randolph Chabot, Jr., who first began making electronic music at age thirteen. Today, his tunes feature samples from children’s toys, synthesizers and other unusual noise makers.
