As The Marketplace at Madison Crescent continues to grow and expand, family friendly events, which acquaint neighbors with the merchants of The Marketplace at Madison Crescent, round out the calendar. The fall event, known as the First Annual Fall Follies, will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Fall Follies is an event filled with entertainment throughout the day for all ages. Local radio station WMZQ 97.8 will have a live DJ playing songs for everyone to enjoy as well as handing out give-aways from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Local face painter, Miss Lynn, and Rob the Balloonatic will be in attendance ensuring a fun and free day for the kids. Madison Crescent merchants will be offering specials throughout the day.
While at the festival, please take the time to stop by at the stores and visit the merchants. For example, Desiderio is the latest addition to the Marketplace’s dining destinations, joining the Brooklyn Brothers Pizzaria, where they serve authentic New York style pizza, and a Subway “Eat Fresh” sandwich shop, with indoor and patio seating.
The Marketplace at Madison Crescent boasts a Harris Teeter grocery store, open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The store, at over 52,000 square feet, features a popular Starbuck’s counter and full service pharmacy. Other Madison Crescent retailers include Atlantic Billiards and Spas, Avalon Nail Spa, Hair Cuttery, Marketplace Dry Cleaners, Seasons Cards and Gifts and Sleepy’s The Mattress Professionals. Madison Crescent is also home to the Madison Crescent Professional Building which houses Anytime Fitness, S.R. Clarke, Inc., a corporate recruiting firm, Prince William Family Medicine, Morgan Stanley/Smith Barney and SunTrust Mortgage. Chevy Chase Bank rounds out the center with two drive-thru windows for friendly and convenient banking.
