The Fabric of Time: Mrs. Lincoln, Mrs. Keckley and Mrs. Scarborough
Exhibit
Professor Michelle Ronnick, a noted authority and researcher on the life of black scholar Dr. William Sanders Scarborough has put together an exhibit on women involved in black classicism. This exhibit, which runs from February 10th, 2007 through the end of March (for Women’s History Month), features many pieces about these women, including pictures of a quilt made by Mrs. Keckley from the cloak worn by Mary Todd Lincoln the night President Lincoln was assassinated. It is truly a fascinating exhibit to behold.
This exhibit is free and open to the public during the library’s normal business hours.
