Chip Sullivan and Elizabeth Boults, authors of "Illustrated History of Landscape Design," present a fascinating evening of Victoriana as they discuss the birth of the 'sublime landscape', the evolution of the glass greenhouse and demonstrate a number of Victorian landscape viewing devices. Participants get a chance to test some of these as well including Claude Mirrors, Zograscopes and Camera Obscuros.
"Illustrated History of Landscape Design" will be available for purchase that evening, and Sullivan and Boults will be available to sign copies.
Come early for a brief tour of the Conservatory and light refreshments.
