Brian Bowen, professor of practice at the College of Architecture, Georgia Institute of Technology, will review building and contracting procedures from colonial times, when the use of "Undertakers" was common, through one seminal event in the last quarter of the 19th-century and on to the formation of the Associated General Contractors in 1918.
