Explore drumming as a tool for relaxation and rejuvenation. Learn the mental, physical and social health benefits available to anyone participating in group drumming including stress reduction, improved focus and creating a sense of connectedness with self and others. Simple rhythm patterns on various percussion instruments facilitate the learning process. The course is designed for anyone interested in enhancing their own health and/or individuals working the fields of mental health, geriatrics, substance abuse, MR/DD, autism, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. No prerequisite skills or experience required.
