The Doobie Brothers are pioneers of the California rock 'n' roll sound of the '70s. Formed in Oakland, the band evolved from a mellow, post-hippie boogie band to a slick, soul-inflected pop band by the end of the decade. Along the way, they racked up a string of gold and platinum albums, along with a number of radio hits like 'Listen to the Music,' 'Black Water' and 'China Grove.' One of the most respected guitar players of all time, Peter Frampton has always made challenging, interesting and critically-acclaimed albums. Beginning with British bands The Herd and Humble Pie, Frampton quickly cemented his status as a world-class guitar hero and singer. The 1976 double album, 'Frampton Comes Alive,' was the biggest selling live-rock album ever at that time.
