The Dave Brubeck Quartet June 15, 2007

The legendary pianist, who came to national attention in the 1950's with his adventurous use of uncommon time signatures and his incorporation of classical approaches in jazz, keeps performing at a brisk pace, trying out new material and revisiting classics with a new vision to keep his music fresh. Increasingly available only in festival megavenues, Mr. Brubeck's Boston-area concerts remain one of his favorite ways for him to connect with audiences in a more intimate setting. He will be joined by his familiar compatriots- Bobby Militello on reeds, Michael Moore on bass and Randy Jones on drums.
