The Daniel Bedingfield Performance Masterclass September 2, 2012

How often do aspiring singers/artists get a chance to get up close and personal with a #1 songwriter, performer and Brit Award winner?
Unfortunately it is rare to get the opportunity to gain insight and feedback in person from a major artist such as Daniel Bedingfield. So Shed Light Events and VocalizeU are very excited to be able to provide this exclusive opportunity for aspiring UK singers/artists and those who work with them to meet and hear from this truely gifted and accomplished singer/songwriter.
Daniel Bedingfield along his vocal coach, Dave Stroud, will give feedback and advice to help singers with their performances, vocal delivery and songwriting.
At the masterclass you will hear Daniel reveal his take on getting ahead in the current music business, the ins and outs of being a signed verses independent artist and how he overcame a serious car accident injury to continue with his career. Daniel will also talk about the pressures and pleasures of touring, recording and writing.

• Performance/song feedback. Participants will be given an opportunity to perform for Daniel and Dave and have immediate feedback on the song, the performance and the voice.

Best known for number #1 hits such as ‘Gotta Get Thru This’, ‘If You’re Not The One’ and "Never Gonna Leave Your Side" Daniel is well placed to be helping developing artists to improve their performance and songwriting skills. He has also sold over 4 million copies of his debut album 'Gotta get Thru This'. Simon Cowell declared on Radio 4's Desert Island Disc " 'If You're Not the One' is one of the most perfect pop songs of all time." As we know Cowell does not dish out the compliments freely.

Daniel keeps his voice in good shape by taking regular voice training with LA vocal coach, Dave Stroud, whose clients include Natasha Bedingfield, Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks and Ben Folds. Participators at the masterclass will get a 'two for one' bonus as Dave will be joining Daniel on the day and singers will benefit from his valuable advice and feedback on using the voice safely but at it's optimum in performance. Jordin Sparks recently revealed that Dave saved her voice in 2010. He will share how he helps singers to develop the right technique for coping with and surviving the pressures of a singing career.
