Corruption remains a global obstacle to international development, environmental protection, human rights, business and virtually any activity today. It affects both rich and poor countries and reaches all industries, governments and institutions.

The Centre for Public Interest Accounting (Haskayne School of Business), International Centre, Latin American Research Centre and Development Studies Club are pleased to sponsor a public forum to explore the meaning and contemporary examples of corruption at the private, public and NGOs level as well as the role of accounting practices and possible approaches to this world issue.

Our Corruption Forum aims at creating a context in which society at large can discuss, examine and move forward with this issue. Participation is free of charge and a light lunch will be provided. So welcome!

Speakers include:
1. Rodrigo Silva, Organization of American States, US
2. John Bray, Control Risks, UK
3. Tim Martin, Nexen Inc., Canada
4. Jeff Everett, Haskayne School of Business, U of C
5. Vinay Bhargava, World Bank, US
